Art Arrived
I bought two drawings by Faith Erin Hicks a month ago, and today they arrived in the mail. Stupid mail... They had bend the envelope so the drawings was partly bended too. :(
Luckily it's not too bad, and I decided to save them by putting them in frames to "unbend them" and subsequently hang them on my wall (seeing that's where I usually keep the frames. ;) ).
This was somewhat the end of an era. I've had the same original art hanging in those frames since J-popcon 2003. I had sort of figured I'd keep them there till I moved out, seeing how that's only a few months away, but now I got new art on my walls.
My two cool drawings from Faith. You can't really see how bended they are, but if you look at the paper edges, try to notice how it doesn't act like square paper.
Here they are on my wall in frames. The bended parts are nearly invisible like this. :)
The individual drawings. This one is with characters from Demonology 101. One of my favourite webcomics of all time. :D I originally went for this picture from Faiths newest comic, but seeing as I was to slow for that, I wanted D101 art instead.
While waiting to hear if I could get the D101 piece, I also found this on Faith's DA gallery, and asked if I could have that if the D101 piece was snatched before I got it. It turned out that the picture was in fact larger than the DA version. And I ended up buying them both... Whops. ;)
Now I almost *have* to like her newest project by default. I own art with the characters. ;)
Since I was changing the content of the art on my walls, I also ended up putting this in my last frame. It's a kiriban gift from Mio27 which I received last June.
And while we're on the subject, this is what I have hanging in the kitchen. It's a rather large piece by Lykkebianca from Tegnebordet.
Also, to go off topic: Here's my two new pairs of boots. I don't want to talk about the fact that I got those two pairs for less money than I have paid for any of the art pieces on my walls (not counting gifts). They were... Really cheap.
