Current Mood: happy
Stofa moves fast. I asked for internet Monday and got it Wednesday evening. :)

I'm almost settled in, and now only needs to get two or three moving boxes completely emptied.

I started working at the Industrial Museum yesterday. I share office with their local graphic designer, and started out somewhat soft yesterday. They are all very nice, and I have high hopes that it'll be a good experience. :)

Sep. 11th, 2008 @ 07:35 pm Moving - No Internet
Current Mood: excited
Tomorrow I'll be given the keys to my new apartment, and I'll spend the weekend trying to move half my stuff there. The other half will be left at my parents house, as my new apartment most likely will be a temporary home until I find a real job.

Seeing how I need to get the internet installed before being able to use it, I'll probably be very sporadic at all my normal communities until I get a new web connection.
Danes can find my phone number at my TB profile if they for some reason really need to reach me. And I'll probably check my main e-mail regularly as well. ;)

So... Enjoy your "no Rikke online" time while it lasts. ;)

Is currently packing boxes, and more boxes, as I'll officially move out tomorrow. I got so much stuff...
It sort of surprises me just how many drawings I got. One thing was the stack of old sketch books, but I'd forgotten just how many folders I had filled with drawings as well. Sort of funny to find projects from 2002-2004 in your bookcase. A lot of stuff has been totally forgotten, so I look at it and thinks: I did that?

Anyway, I'll be living with my parents until I find a job I can move after. My parents do have Internet, but their connection isn't super fast. And my own computer will probably be without internet. So until further notice I won't be online as much as I usually am.

Apr. 4th, 2008 @ 10:35 pm Tattoos
Current Mood: impressed
This is pretty wild.

Those that has been past my tattoo section on my webcomic will recognise this:

Old tattoo pictures )

Now look what I just got:

This new girl says that she didn't know the previous tattoos existed, and it would appear that she found me by surfing tattoo pictures running into her doubles. To quote: "I thought it was crazy when I first saw the picture of someone else with them."

I guess the moral of this story is to do research of who has done an illustration you has found online before getting it tattooed on your body. ;) That, and tattoos of my characters are awesome.

I guess I have a lot of pictures going around online without control. That's what happen when you have as generic characters of popular specimens as I do. :/

Dec. 13th, 2007 @ 08:48 pm Gimme the Weirdest Internet Fandom You've Seen.
Now, I realise this may give me some rather... Weird things (to say the least), and I don't want links! But... What is the weirdest/strangest/most geeky or WTF fandom you've found on the internet so far? XD

I think my price these days goes to "real life movie-music-composer shippings". No, I kid you not. Crazy little fangirls are slashing people like Danny Elfman and Hans Zimmer, giving them cute little "couple nicknames" made up by part of their names combined, and writing slash fics and drawing fan-images of these pairings. Eventually adding in movie-instructors as well now we're at it...
I can to some extent follow actor-slashing. Especially when they are connected to characters they play. But this fandom just baffle my mind. Did you run out of sexy fictional characters you could pair up, or are you just trying to be extra special by choosing real life people that normally isn't in the actual spotlight?
Also I'm sort of starting to feel sorry for those poor composers that sooner or later are bound to find out that this exist.

Current Mood: bouncy
After waiting for the serviceguy for almost three hours he shows up.
He concludes that neither of us have internet, locks himself into the "internet-closet" at the ground floor, end three minutes later my Internet is back.
He says that all he did was plug himself in with his computer, and everything was working.
He also says that this really doesn't make any sense, as it shouldn't be that easy to fix something, and "that it seemed like there was nothing wrong". At the same time he does however says that he could clearly see that neither of us had any internet when he arrived, and I for one had tried to have a new computer connected to my plug without luck from my apartment.

This better not mean that we get billed!

Anyway, internet, I can function normally again.

Aug. 17th, 2007 @ 11:49 am Life Without Internet
Current Mood: apathetic
I got the call from the service-provider technical advice guy, and it turns out that there's no connection from them. I went as far a s borrowing another cable from my neighbour, and after that even borrowing his laptop as well, to test that it wasn't my computer that was the problem.
So they'll send a technician.

I really, really hope that they can solve the problem AND admit that it was the providers fault (maybe some sort of wiring problem, I don't know). If they tie it up on me I'll have to pay for the technician... But, like the guy I talked to said: It's very unlikely to be my computer, when a working cable AND laptop from the guy next door wasn't working in my room.

Kind thoughts to my neighbour "the exchange-student" (whose name I can't remember, can't pronounce and isn't written outside his door, but hey... He can't pronounce my name either, so we're sort of even. XD ). He readily gave me first his cable and then his laptop without hesitation. We have bumped into each other in the hallway before, but... Honestly, I probably would have kept a little better eye on my laptop if it was me. ;)
